Chinese Tourance

I've got 4500 miles on a set of Chinese Tourances and they have loads of life in them. Nowhere near the wear bars yet, just a bit squared off.

I've not had any issues with them, but I went from EXP's so can't compare really. These had a resonant frequency at 50mph for the first 1000 miles, and turn in was noticeably slower, but never had any concerns over grip. No real chicken strips and ridden all year round, including salt encrusted wintery roads with probably nearly half that mileage done 2up with luggage.

Pic of mine last month with about 4000 miles on it.

I'll probably stick with them for the next set, unless I go for an all out road tyre, as my off road excursions tend to be only on a MX bike!

Is possible that the OP hit a patch of diesel ?
The symptoms sound right.
Glad you stayed upright.

After much discussion with Bob at FWR,i've just had a front Chinese Tourance fitted. The ride home was as normal.
FWR have sold loads of them with no bad feedback.Michelin now have a factory in Thailand I believe ?
Soon all consumer goods will be Made In China.
Anybody remember "Made In England ":beerjug:

Don't be surprised if they wear quickly, grip was fine................but they only last 2/3's time of German Tourances

I'm expecting mine to at least last my next trip, which is in a couple of weeks to Germany and Denmark. That will take it to about 6K miles which seems ok? What did the originals last to?
