After the demise of Big Mary I was foot loose and fancy free with money in my pocket after the insurance paid up handsomely. The market was my oyster. I'm not too keen on the 1200, more like the look of the 1150/80gs, when I fell in love at first glance with a minty red 2000 850gs, and had to have him.(not literally). Brought it home (the other half wasn't too enamoured) and drooled over it. After a few short runs to get use to each other, decided to do a longish run to Glencolmkill and start the 2010 rally in ernest. After a good breakfast and a cadburys bar of chocolate, the Red Baron was wheeled from the hangar and we set off west in glorious sunshine.
Took a few pics, (any ideas where, without googling)

When ever I stopped the craic was great with the locals. One guy, in Castlederg, after looking the reg plate for a while asked me what part of France was i from. He was serious.

The Red Baron behaved well and is a good replacement to Big Mary. I look forward to introducing him to lots more parts of Ireland and further a field.

Spikerjack, ye boy ye. :beerjug:

Nice to see you back on the road again and what a beauty! I don't know if you saw it but you and big Mary were in the last video I put up on the web recently.

Will look forward to a ride out with you sometime soon.

cheers
