If the weather plays ball, does anyone fancy camping on the 19th? Ride there Saturday, and home on Sunday....No ideas as to where to go yet, but could be a good pish up before Xmas:D

I don't mind doing sub zero temps in the dry, but don't fancy doing cold and wet...

Any takers...?

camping???

just a quick one for you! if the forcast looks crap mate then why not a pish up in the sun inn , in Dent . i know there was a camping meet there the other week and all had a good time. if there are only a few of you the rooms in the pub are cheep as chips. open fires and normally somthing on ,on a saturday night. nice ride up there too.
saying that ! it all sounds a little too soft for you
i cant make it as scattering the old mans ash's on the sunday. what ever you do have fun

That's rich coming from the man that's been there and done it....;)

Dunno if this is appropriate or the right thing to say, but if the scattering is a private affair with family, chin up, and you have my condolences Paul. otherwise, bring your old man along for a good old final ride and we'll see him out in style....:thumb

Not met anyone off here yet that I know of, but why the hell not :D

Got new gear to test out before I go Scotland in Jan:D

Any ideas on where to go? I was thinking Loch Lomond, but rather than a butt numbing weekend, I just wanna get away for a night, rough it, and get pissed around a camp fire TBH...:nenau

Yer a feckin pongo FFS, you're meant to live outdoors.

Aye, I don't mind kipping under canvas whenever.
I'm not supposed to have a torn Supraspinatus tendon tho, and it appears I may have. Got to get an MRI scan to confirm.

Theres a bloody great lay-by next to Loch Ness. I've camped there before. It's in the middle of a rather long road and has 2 picnic tables, well, did in August anyway.

It is a bit of a mission away though (just looked up, near 400 miles).

Erm....

Theres a bus stop in the Lakes I've also camped in *rummages for pics*

Not too far from the top of Hardknott pass and Kirkstone pass, and if you roll off the edge it is a long way down, but even with the wind we had camping there, because of where it is, the wind went over us and it was nice and calm. It also carried the rain away :)

Theres a rock thats perfect for making a brew, allmost like it was made just for that purpose :drool
