I know that Greg and chums have their Whitewebb's bash (and very good it is, too) in norf Lunnon.
But how about another, central Lunnon, do as well? You may recall we did something similar last year, ending up with a curry in Spitalfields. So popular was it that Den (and her with things on her head) travelled all the way from Jockland to be there.
There is a new venue that may suit:
The Wheatsheaf in Borough market (close to the Market Porter) and its new sister, Katzen Jammer, which is next door. The Wheatsheaf does some great ales and is larger than the Market Porter.
Katzen Jammer, is a German themed boozer, with Kraut food at a decent price. It (and the Wheatsheaf) is owned and managed by the same bods who own The Swan (a fine pub) in Leadenhall Market and The Bell in Cannon Street etc. so it should be good.
I have got the manager's (Danny Campbell) phone number and have been told by Simon (the manager of the Swan) that he can sort us out a reserved area or maybe a room.
What say the masses?
If it's a goer I will trot over the Thames to find out what is what.
