Christmas Meet Up Thursday 19th December 2024 ... South Yorkshire

I've upped the numbers to 12, but slapping a cap on it at that.
More than ten it's pre-order with a ten quid deposit. It can be all Christmas Fayre or from the menu, not half and half .... one or the other.

Look at the menu on their website and have a look at what you want/like

Plenty of time for now .... I'll start chasing up later in November.

Micky, thanks for all your work on this and, of course, extending the booking to accommodate everyone….. including me, the soft southern shandy drinker. All much appreciated.

I, and I am sure others, have no problem with a tenner deposit; we had the same for our last London get-together. To do that, I paid the £100 deposit myself and then collected a tenner a head from each participant in pretty short order, via PayPal. The thread is here:

London / South East get together - Thursday 24 October - Il Bordello - 18:30 sit down

Same deal as the steak evening, one bill, divide it evenly, irrespective. 10 people, though I’ll see if I can get it up to 12. First come, first served and then a reserve list. Possibly an Italian at Il Bordello, as I am pretty sure they can fit us all in I if I book it up early enough...

As you can see, it was all very transparent, which is best.

Inevitably, there was a couple of cry-off’s, especially as it was all arranged several months in advance, whilst others joined. Rather than return deposits for those that couldn’t then come, I donated their sum to a local Tower Hamlets’ small but quite good charity.
