Christmas meeting

We're all trailriding on the 11th anyway, by the time we get home, clean the bikes and tend to any aches, sprains and injuries, we'll be knackered. Perhaps one of your special "under the towel" messages would speed things up? :D:comfort

There was me thinking we would be full of adrenaline etc but I did fail to spot it was a sun pm.

Ok then what about after Xmas?

Every day we learn something new: on Thursday I heard of "under the towel" massages for the first time and thought I had a pretty good idea what it implied - but now Possu mentioned "under the towel" messages... :nenau Do I need to have a word with Steve? :eyebrow

Apart from that, I would prefer Thursday 29th December for our meeting - all things festive will have calmed down, I'll be back from Germany and we may actually feel hungry again by then.

I'll go for 29th, too.

Could we do it near a train station? As its Xmas I feel a few glasses of wine coming on....

If this idea gets a bit of traction I'll investigate a few venues unless anyone wants to offer something up.

Hi guys,
Wouldn't dream of gate crashing - is this an open invite ?
If I'm back from a flying visit to Budapest would love to come along.

It's an open invite, people even bring their non biking better halves!

29th good for us, tried the Chequers again a week ago, was pretty good with a more varied menu than the Shepherds Hut in Ewelme. They're open on the 29th and happy to have us there - shall I book a table for:

Steve & Ela
Martin & Jane
Clive (& Bev?)
Patrick (& Cath?)
Dave G & Louise
Simon T
Rob Keep
Mike F
Jed?
Elvis

Anyone else?

Yep put me down for it. If I can bum a lift to a train station or Reading after that'll be very nice....

Only slight fly in the ointment is I am picking the outlaws up from Luton that day, flight details yet tbc.

Top ride out today Steve - thanks for organising it. Sure is starting to get a handful on the beemer tho. Didnt help that we also did the ruttiest trail 3 times, too!

Was only thinking of you Mike, looked like you were putting on weight (or Winter Plumage as Martin prefers to call it...), thought I'd give you a good workout to burn off those calories. :D

Great day, just under 140 miles door to door, got home just as it got dark, threw bike in garage and jumped in the shower.

Seriously though Mike, you've reached the limitations of a GS on those trails, time you fixed your 525 or replaced it with something similar.

Cheeky monkey, that's just my body armour.....

One more for the fray, usually busy on Thursdays, but not this one. Last event I made was the Christmas meal at a Chinese in Wallingford. When was that?

Cathy and I will be along. (A nifty plan change has made us available).
Thanks for stepping up to organise, nothing would get done if it was left to me!

Sadly the outlaws arrive Luton airport at 8.30pm so I am out, looks like I cant even join for a coffee at end )-:

But am on for this Sunday. Prob last outing on the GS this winter!

Pleased to say it looks like I am now in - add me to the list.

Bakerman's Salisbury bash on 27th, too. Hoping weather OK to take BM or I'm a bit stuck (hint - anyone got a spare slot on a trailer for the Husky....)

Thanks, Mike
