Seeing as most of us have our pretier better smelling other halves with us would it not be an idea to have this as a formal attire evening? Just to make it a bit more special.

I think I have the very thing tucked away in the wardrobe, Ms Cheek's is relishing the fact we will be flying over and hiring a car, she's already packed a suitcase full of shoes!

I'm happy to go with bib and tucker, but agree with HRH on it being down to the indivdual on a smart formal basis.

James, the run north to Braemar is a really nice road (even in a car ) and you get a really good lunch at Gordon's Tea Room, Mar Road, Braemar.

Alternatively, head west over Moulin Moor towards Pitlochry and have an excellent lunch at the Moulin Hotel. They even have their own Micro Brewery there.

Both venues are less than a 60 mile round trip and are direct routes from Bridge of Cally.
