What are you doing?

Turkey Sarnies and a packet of crisps.

Blasting down the A303 5 mins for a KFC.

Hoping to find a pub thats empty and welcoming of 40 wet and muddy riders the 1st Sunday after Xmas.

Which do you think is the best idea?

I can't see a pub liking the idea of 40 muddy bikers, and Turkey sarnies are great if it is not raining..........so I would say KFC or Turkey sarnies if the weather forecast is good.

KFC gets my vote unless there is a stash of warm pasties available :thumb

If Bakermans soup idea doesn't happen, we could always nip back to Countess Services on the A303?

Vegetable / vegetarian soup please. :thumb

HANG ON a few days, I`ll work on Mrs Bakes, maybe we can sort SOUP and PASTIES out at IMBER at 1pm.

You are a Gentleman :thumb (don't suppose you'll be putting the video on youtube of you "working" on Mrs Bakes :augie:augie:augie) :D:D:D
Being a foreigner to your establishment, I am keen to try out these "Pasties". Being that Pies are my speciality, it will be interesting to taste the difference in pastry goodness and meaty moistness between the two :thumb

Cheese and onion pasty???? Packet of crisps????
You sir are too healthy to be a Tosser :rob

Lunch is for wimps....

Being a wimp I'd be happy to have a stop and a sandwich on the trail...

I'm also thinking after a grabing a bite before we leave we'll not be that hungry by mid day and as the light will be fading will we be better off with a end of ride coffee and snack stop before we ride off in different directions rather than a mid ride long stop

How about bringing some Stokey oat cakes down from Gods country Flip :D

I will gladly bring a whole pannier full of oatcakes should anyone wish me to. Especially brilliant with a cheese and bacon filling I find, although a good quality sausage and cheese oatcake is also an experience to savour :thumb2

Oatcake Annies are still the best available, freshly made by hand to the old traditional receipe.

Oooooh nearly forgot, Wreford, Pip.........:tears:tears:tears:tears

Some of us fatties need a little bit of race fodder midday. Won't take long to scoff a quick butty or whatever.

That sounds goood :drool

Never had an oatcake before so best bring me some - perhaps they can be our breakfast:thumb2

I shall be going on a gentle post-xmas exploring bimble around.

Taking packed lunch, flask of coffee and quite possibly a camping chair to sit on while I eat my lunch, hopefully somewhere slightly sheltered on a wet, windy, exposed December plain :rob :)

I`m going to agree

I just want to take you guys out, the idea of everbody taking their own is best.

Don`t normaly stop anyway only for petrol, my group won`t be stopping hoping to do 120 miles.

Stopping only at PETROL STATION in TILSHEAD where you can buy stuff, before IMBER.

If I can buy a couple of pasties, a packet of crisps and a couple of bottles of something to drink from the bakery in the morning, I'll eat it whilst riding a la jim'll fix-it fame :D:D:D

I don't want to cause anyone any extra work so whatever works is fine with me. I doubt I'll die of hunger, there's a chance I could set a world record hunger strike with the reserves I keep with me :augie:augie:augie

Sure thing I`ll get the sandwich girls to make a few extra sarnies and I`ll bake off a few pasties easy done :thumb
