I've recently fitted a remus titanium oval exhaust with y piece and find that I cannot now mount the original chrome 'cowl' which originally clamped the y to the can.

As the cowl is curved it appears the can must be 'shorter'? as I can only make it come within approx 4 inches of the can - the curve then prevents it moving any closer. All GSA's with remus's I have seen seem the have the chrome cover 'butted-up' to the can thereby covering the joint.

Any ideas..... it looks really rough without the cowl...

Hi

If you have got the NEW REMUS TITANIUM CAN it will not fit.

They do a special can for the ADV which they started making this year (i think) it is slightly longer so not to cause any problems to the ADV luggage, ( burnng the box's and luggage mounting bars)

I have fitted one to mine and i know it wont fit.

Mine's been without that cowl bit as well for two years......you're right, it won't fit .

You could cut it about and mount it with some big jubilee clips but I didn't bother...it's a big traily, not a chrome cruiser.....I don't care how fugly she looks :D
