I think that's what he's saying - but to be honest - you're going to be spending a lot of money for a short time period of use.

If you're going to be out in the country - use a map

I'd get a decent map book when you're here :thumb

Good point. I'm thinking of it more as an investment though as I've been making the trip annually for a good few years now and will probably continue to do so. On the map book front, I've actually found my AA Australia/NZ one bought in a London bookshop far superior to anything I found in Oz and cheaper too, at least as far as urban/motorway driving was concerned. However, I stand to be corrected.

There's a possibility now that the cost of the CD may be absorbed by various means which don't involve my wallet being opened :thumb .
