City Navigator Europe NT 2011.1 Problem

Hi folks,

I have a BMW Navigator 3 GPS running ver 4.4 software. Recently I upgraded my maps from City Navigator Europe NT 2010.3 to City Navigator Europe NT 2011.1. I subscribe to "lifetime" mapping so I downloaded it over the internet.
Since the upgrade the GPS wont boot up properly and hangs at the "loading maps" step and returns to starting mode. it cycles like this for at least 15-20 mins before it eventually starts.

I have tried reloading the 4.4 software and reloading the maps but no change. I reloaded City Navigator Europe NT 2010.3 and it seems to run fine. This leads to suspect that the mapping software is the problem.

I went back on line to download City Navigator Europe NT 2011.1. again but the Garmin website shows no upgrade available and that the unlock key has expired.
How do I get a new copy to download just in case it was corrupted during transfer?
All help appreciated. I am heading to Belarus on Mon 24th and had updated the maps to have the best possible mapping with me.

Call Garmin.

They will:

(a) Turn your download facility back on, for sure. They have done it for me.

(b) Probably be able to help you with your problem, too.

I called Garmin this moring and they have made a new download and key available to me. I will download it this evening and see how I get on with it.

Sorted

Downloaded the map software again and reinstalled it on my GPS and computer( lots of cups of tea and a book to read!!) and its working fine.

All sorted for next week, thanks again.
