Just been trying to load the European City Select V6, which came bundled with my brand new Garmin Quest today. XP Pro is the operating system and the software wont load. It gets to 100% of Disc 2 then after something about publishing, it comes up with something about the programme being interupted and to try again.

Anyone else suffered this problem, if so any idea of a fix please?

Cheers
Steve

Beemer, I have a copy of Version 7 unused you can have if you would like. As you haven't registered yours yet ( I assume ) you would get a free upgrade to V7. It might solve your problem. Cost me nothing, exactly the amount it will cost you.

Gazza,

sounds like Steve's having problems with the initial load - ie he hasn't got Mapsource installed yet...

Mike:)

Thanks for the offer Gazza but Mike's right.

I had the same problem

Delete the Garmin directory from your hard drive and registry. Use Windows Explorer to delete the program (Garmin) file then go to the 'Start' button bottom left of screen click that then select the 'run' button just above the log off icon. This will open a dialog box. Type 'regedit', without the commas, into that box and click ok. That will open your registry hopefully like shown below. Left-click the Garmin folder and delete it as normal. Close all programs down, reboot and try installing again. It worked for me!

BE CAREFUL with the regedit command, DO NOT delete any other folders unless you know what you are doing.

Just tried that Hops, exactly as you described, still comes up with the same message that the Install Wizard was interrupted etc etc.
Think my PC must be in need of a strip down and refit!!

Appreciate your efforts anyway.

Steve
