I just came in from washing my R100 GS. That Bugs-B-Gone spray cleaner works incredibly well on those baked-on bugs on the cylinders and cylinder heads. 17 year old cylinders and heads that look like the day I bought the bike. :thumb

Fine machinery deserves to be looked after.

By the way what about those Corsica photos :augie

Looking forward to those I am :D :beerjug:

Mind you Dean, most people from this wee town just give me their bikes for a couple of days to transform the cleanliness aspect. But time has run out for me this year as I'm having an operation next Tuesday and I'll be off work for four months. So you could always 'book it in' sometime in the new year. Look on it as phyiso, if you will. :D

Oh, mine is absolutely spotless right now and won't see the light of day until 1st of April 08 now. Do I laugh or cry ?

I suppose I should give some before and after examples of my handy work. :aidan

There are more on my SmugMug site under the 2006 Alps Motorcycle Tour gallery.

If you haven't been to Corsica, I highly recommend it!!! A bit more expensive than the Alps. Go for at least ten days.

Ok davy F give us the run down on how you achieved this, looks like new paint to me. apart from new paint what did you do and what did you use to clean it? My gs engine paint is flaking off all around the lower sections, and wheel hubs. Pisses me off as ive got the rest of it looking really clean.
Cheers
Ron

Seriously impressive Davy :eek::eek::eek: :thumb

That it is. :thumb2

It looks so good the question I have is, was that done using soap and cleaning the engine block and head, or was that done by refinishing it with bright aluminium engine enamel?
