Cleaning the starter button?

Is there a simple guide to cleaning the contacts on the starter button? I can't find one and it's not as simple getting at it as I thought.

Had to clean mine at 1 stage as water got into it cause the button broke off.
No simple way other than taking it all apart and searching for tiny screws all over it. The flimsiest of contacts in it so I actually changed them and used 2mm electric wire. Much better and never a problem since.

Is there a secret scew to take the right switch gear off? On my r750 r it just popped downwards and out. This will not budge!


I feel a fool. Found a new screw under the dirt.
