Hi all,
I'd would appreciate your comments on the following.
As some of you may know, a faulty neutral gear switch forced the bike to be left at Prestige London and was driven back to Paris two days ago by a chauffeur.
The next day, I heard , for the first time a slight but clear clicking/ticking noise from the left cylindre. I stopped by BMW dealer in Paris and they confirmed they heard it , and asked if I had used octane 98 petrol. I checked the receipt from teh delivery guy saw that he used 98 grade indeed.
BMW also suggested it could be a slightly loose valve rocker, but did not seemed worried at all and said there was no need to bring the bike in if the noise did not worsen.
The next tank fuel, I obviously used the proper 95 grade petrol, but it did not entirely cure the noise.
2 questions if I may :
1- what happens if you use 98 petrol ?
2 - should I worry more about a loose valve rocker and take the bike in anyway ?
Thank you for your assistance.
