Calling Donegal or Norn Iron tossers:
Does anyone know the best place to park to see the Slieve League cliffs in Donegal? Heard there's a bendy road with a massive drop on one side that leads to a sort of car park. Can anyone help me find it with google maps or a gps waypoint? Went before and ended up doing a 2 or 3 mile walk across fields, don't fancy that again!
Also, looking for recommendations for a nice small town to stay up there (must have at least 1 pub!). Off the beaten track would be nice, but closer to the coastal side of the county. Obviously it'll need a b&b. Doesn't have to be near the cliffs, probably north of there.
Heading up on saturday morning (in the car
) to enjoy the scenery, take a few snaps. Whoever gives me the best info wins my eternal gratitude! Any must see bits, amazing roads don't keep them a secret either! Reckon i'll take a look around Horn head and Glenveigh park. Probably won't have time to go to the inishowen pen. Pity, because Malin head looks great.
