A friend of the wife is going on her first bike trip to India in March as pillion, using an Enfield. I understand that it is the start of their summer so temperatures will be around high twenties. Don't think she will be returning back there nor carrying on biking over here so does not want to spend a fortune.
What kind of clothing should she be wearing?
I am not a traveller hence asking you wise lot.
Cheers
Joe

Hello Joe, hope you are well.

When it comes to base layer, Russ Malkin said that bamboo tee-shirts are very good when it is hot and sticky (he wore them in India during one of his trips). I tried some riding to Italy last summer and they are spot on.

I've been there quite a few times and it can get to 45 deg C !! You want cotton long sleeves ,cargo type trousers and a bit of body armour is usefull. On EnduroIndia we use full on amotorcross kit with the enfields but do a bit of off road as well. Its a lovely way to see India ,accommodation is easy and cheap .a great trip is from Goa to Kerala via Karnatica and Tamil Nadu .Check out the tea areas in Keral especially Munnar which is the most beautiful place in the world:thumb a 3 litre camel back is a must

Not so much the heat - it's the humidity that gets you. :D
