I bought this bike a few days after I did my CBT, and I trundled round on it for a bit whilst I did my DAS. Almost immediately after that I got the GS and 'retired' the CLR.
When I sold the GS I put the Cityfly back on the road (to keep my insurance current
) and since getting the Tenere, I put the CLR away in the garage after I was warned about excess play on the cush drives.
I rebuilt the cush drives (bit of a pain) but I was sold the wrong chain for it. I did think about getting the chain sorted, fresh tax, MOT and insurance, and 'learning' how to ride greenlanes on it. After all it's not cost me that much, and it's a bit rough around the edges so to speak.
Thing is, a local biker has asked if I'd want to sell it to him exactly as is, for his son to learn on.
Would I be better getting something like a KLX250 to learn how to greenlane?
