Hello new on this forum so please be gentle.
I have an 1150 gs 41000 miles on it, lost all clutch fluid topped it up, did 400 miles round wales including the first two off road levels at the touratech event, no apparent problem.
went out yesterday clutch slipping, like a bastard, in every gear from third under load, got to mates house stuck the front wheel against the house and dumped the clutch in 1st, clutch span and smoked like hell. on way home noticeable clutch slip occurred at about 95 and was still slipping, I think, at about 110.
So new clutch needed then!!
what I'm asking is: does anyone have info on other than standard clutch plates, ceramic or oil resistant. spaced out clutch plates. improved slave cylinders. improvements to propshaft lubrication or other jobs I might miss while the arse end is out.

many thanks in advance Dosa

I'd do gearbox/final drive fluids; check joints for play.

Perhaps your clutch slip is due to contamination from loss of clutch fluid. I have seen it take some time before problems show.

Think you are correct about needing a clutch and imagine the fluid loss was into the bell housing, make sure you address the leak otherwise you will bugger up your new clutch in double time.

Well Its Fucked after that for sure

Once you cook them! That's It!

Prior to that, if you had asked? You may have well got away with a clutch slave cylinder replacement and letting the fluid burn off over time

I am pretty sure that when you pull it apart now your two metal part are going to be pretty damn Blue and the clutch plate galzed to F***
