Just replaced the clutch fluid and even though there does not seem to be a problem, it feels that the clutch disengages sooner than it did before, could this mean there is air in the line, two much fluid put in, not enough fluid or I am imagining it

The plate has done 15000, so am I right in thinking that the fluid level should be about two thirds up the glass, as the fluid rises as the plate wears.

yes the level rises as the clutch wears, so don't overfill .

Try bleeding the system - bleed valve is under the subframe, rear right hand side, enclosed in a foam cover = unscrew the grub screw inside the bleed valve ( don't worry, nothing will leak out, it's a spring loaded bleed valve)
Screw in a bleed nipple and pump the clutch lever till you've cleared all the old fluid . ;)

Just read your PM, re- grub screw rounding off -

they all do that Sir .

it's a consequence of the service schedule saying bleed the clutch every 2 years, gives it plenty of time to fester and corrode and weld it's self in place, especially where it's located -

bleed the clutch every year or 12K miles -

Can you take the bleed valve off and put a speed bleeder or bleed nipple in its place?

YES and the same goes for the offside front brake caliper.
Hi Les, Sounds like your getting ready for your Garmish trip.
