clutch for 1200GS 05

New to me just found out it needs gearbox repair, which the dealer is doing for me. Do you recommend having a clutch while they are fitting gearbox. Are there any patterned clutches or should I go with a BMW one.

New friction plate for sure, BMW and they are not expensive.

Surely depends on milage and previous use? Easy get 80k+ on original so if you've done say only 20k then you've got a long way to go. Any signs of oil contamination then replace. Use BMW as Pat says

gearbox

dealer has got back they dont think it is the gearbox, seem to think rear bearing, i'm in their hands this is my first GS......... when I get it back !!!!

My first only lasted 20k miles. No oil contamination either. For £70, or so, i'd change it while it was apart.
