Last week I had a sticky clutch spline re-lubricated; works a treat again.
Seeing as though it was major surgery, I told the blokes who did the job to fit a new clutch if the original was more than half worn. A new clutch is 6.5mm thick, and the minimum thickness suggested by MBW is 5.5 mm. So after 103,301kms my clutch measured 6.25mm, which gives a theoretical life of 400,000kms !
...... oh, and this is with a 3.2 rear drive fitted.
In theory, there's little difference between theory and practice, but in practice, ......
