I noticed a thin covering of dirty oil around my clutch cylinder on the handlebars and lever. It seems to be coming from the clutch master cylinder and the fluid level does seem to have fallen.
Looking at the manual there's no parts break down for the seals and the only option seems to be to replace the whole assembly. Very expensive for what is probably just a perished seal.
Anyone replaced the seals or is it a no go?

If you are not loosing fluid why not clean it up and leave it a while.
Seal is easy to change but remember its a special BMW oil not brake fluid

Thanks for the response. I will leave it a while but I'm off to Spain on it in the summer so I don't want it to fail then. As I said in my first post the fluid level does seem down so I will probably need to replace it sooner or later.
You say the seal is easy to change but BMW don't list a new seal, just the whole assembly.
Do you know where I can source one?
