Clutch not operating

My 1100 clutch started slipping at the weekend so I pulled the gearbox etc and a new plate arrived today

Installed the clutch assembly and put the gearbox back in however the clutch now wont operate ( lift )

I have checked the assembly ..... diaphragm spring and clutch disc are in the right way ( cant see that you could get it wrong really )

The clutch arm is straight the cable is good .......... This has to be something simple I have missed but I'm puzzled what it might be

You probably need to route the clutch cable through the lug on the gearbox just before it attaches to the gearbox lever.

What exactly do you mean by "won't operate (lift)" ? Bit more detail please...

Does it disengage ?
Does it not disengage ?
Is it solid and you can't pull the lever ?
Is there no resistance ? i.e. lever floppy.
Is there free play at the clutch arm on the gearbox and clutch lever at the bars.

There is no resistance and I can push the operating arm forward by hand , it's almost as if the pushrods is too short.

This is with the clutch pack installed and the gearbox bolted up to the engine

I would suspect the clutch cable was not engaged with the lug on the gearbox as previously suggested but I have checked that and it's fine , also there is no resistance even without a cable attached

I need to take a good look with fresh eyes as I was working on it late last night and tired .

Have you adjusted the adjuster on the gearbox arm ?

My first thoughts as well Gog so I pulled the clutch pack out and tried to install them in reverse , but they don't fit

The Spring goes against the fewer eel with the raised part towards the gearbox and the extended side of the clutch disc is towards the gearbox as well .... Like in my pic

Fit them the other way round and it woo the go together , shame though would have been an easy fix

Have you still got the bearing and the spacer in between the clutch arm and the clutch rod?
