Clutch oddities

Anybody got any ideas on this one?

Took the LT out a week ago. Seemed rather more blue smoke out the back than usual - I decided I must have been too quick to put it onto the side stand. then I notice the clutch was slipping

Took it home and swapped bikes.

few days later all seems fine again. what might make a clutch slip temporarily? Oil leak somehow? Looks a bitch of a job to change the clutch

Check your cable adjustment and that the aluminium operating arm behind the gearbox moves freely.
If there is oil contamination of the clutch, it's often accompanied by a tell-tale drip at the hole in the base of the clutch housing.
