Looking for a way out
Anybody got any ideas on this one?

Took the LT out a week ago. Seemed rather more blue smoke out the back than usual - I decided I must have been too quick to put it onto the side stand. then I notice the clutch was slipping :(

Took it home and swapped bikes.

few days later all seems fine again. what might make a clutch slip temporarily? Oil leak somehow? Looks a bitch of a job to change the clutch :(

Check your cable adjustment and that the aluminium operating arm behind the gearbox moves freely.
If there is oil contamination of the clutch, it's often accompanied by a tell-tale drip at the hole in the base of the clutch housing.
