Clutch problem, advice requested.

It's just a tiny shade over 5mm. While I'm on, the MP3 paste used to coat the splines, is it suitable for the pushrod end, or does that go in dry?
 
And another thought, is it worth replacing the crank shaft end seal while everything is out?
 
This is what the housing looks like. Anything unusual here?

And the rear of the flywheel, again, not much to see but are those 'fling' marks any indication the crankshaft end seal needs replacing?
