Clutch pushrod - wear and lubrication

Hi all,

Just about to refit the clutch pushrod. The clutch-end seems quite worn - is this ‘normal’?



Secondly, Clymer recommend ‘microlube GL261’ to be used. Is there a common alternative to this, or do I just stump up the tenner for the ‘right’ stuff?

Its a Lithium based grease with moly-disulphide included.

I’ve already got moly grease and moly paste, as well as EP2 lithium based, high melting point multi-purpose grease - are these suitable

The Granville CV grease is lithium based with moly disulphide…..
