Clutch side heated grip fixing

I'm fitting Renthal bars to my bike. Big deal yawn yawn Dave isn't satisfied with the original.
Now that's over does anyone have a way to attach the grip without drilling and tapping the handlebar. The OEM bars have not cracked or anything nasty but the throttle side has a clamp and no drilling
Is there a way to clamp the clutch side?

I drilled my replacement bars & Iv had a few pairs of renthals been drilled all been ok they are quite thick walled,then again good luck trying a different approach

For now I've wedged the grip/switch assembly between the end weight and clutch control clamp.
It has a little lug on the switch case to stop it spinning.

I need to find a tiny little Torx driver to fit the internal switch cover screws. They are even smaller than the outer cover screws.

+1 for drilling the bars. The loss of cross sectional are is small and as already said the bars are thick. Normal road use, even on a heavy bike, is nothing like as severe as motocross, which is what the Renthals are made for.

All very true of course and the holes are well away from the higher stress areas by the steering head clamps. But they holes are stress raisers and such a clunky way to do things. It also prevents any adjustments (= I don't trust myself to drill it right). The throttle side works fine with its clamp so who knows why they fart about with little screws on the left side.

The grip holds the switch so need to be careful how it's fixed.
