Whilst away in France last week, I felt the clutch slipping a few times when the engine was under load. I checked the thickness of the fiction plate this morning, with the starter motor out and, it's pretty much at the service limit (4.5mm). So the question is just buy the full Sachs clutch kit at £220, buy the oil resistant fiction plate and the other clutch components separately (comes to about £90 more than the standard kit) or buy some other manufacturers clutch kit (Ferodo ?)

Buy the standard clutch. Check dealer price as well bacause on the cars they do factory exchange units (look brand new) and they're very competitive.

Not sure if this applies to bikes though.
