Does anyone know if any of the mapping websites that use Navteq mapping have updated to the latest version of the maps? Normally, I use Map24.com, but it appears to still be using CN8. Basically, I'm trying to see what I'll get if I upgrade to the latest maps! Even Garmins own page (http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/citynavntEurope.jsp#) appears to show CN8 still :nenau

Thanks

Ehhh.....thats the point, CN9 is apparently released (not sure if the NT or base version though) but Garmin's own site 'demo' shows only the CN8 maps......:nenau

I see whats happened ,you were confusing me with your interpretation CN version numbers .I was confusing your CN8 as CN V8 when I gather you meant CN Europe 2008 and the new version is CN Europe 2009.

City Navigator NT 2009

Dave,

Yep, that I was......

anyhow, I've answered my own query. As its only the NT version of CN9 (2009, that is) thats released, I was probably looking in the wrong section anyway :blast.

Its here http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/ontheRoad/ and select City Navigator NT 2009 from the MapSource Map Viewer drop down box in the top right.

Here's the result for somewhere near enough to me....

The northern extension of the Kilkenny by-pass is shown........

but not the new by-pass of Carlow

Riddle me that, Garmin !:blast

I've not checked smaller back roads, but to be honest there's not a lot wrong with these - its in the National road development that the mapping needs most upgrading.
