Started the paperwork to register my 2002 R1150GSA imported from the Middle East. It is a euro spec bike.
I have gotten a 'Cerificate of Origin' from BMW, which states the frame and engine numbers to show it is a 2002 GSA but as yet; not a certificate of conformity which I believe gives more info.

Does anyone have a copy of this doc so I can take some details for the MSVA cerificate I need to fill in?

Only got 3 weeks in the UK to sort all this out before leaving again until December.

Thanks & Regards

My GSA was brought in from Japan, all spec same as UK but BMW wouldn't issue a COC as the bike was built for Japan market not EU.

BMW did issue a letter confirming the manufacturing date.

Mine had to have SVA because of this.

Clem,

That may be the same for me in part anyway. I got a certificate of origin from BMW just stating it is a R150GSA, built 23/9/02 based on the frame and engine number.

If they refuse to give me a certificate of conformity, for any reason then, are you saying you do not need a CofC before going to the MSVA?

My problem is though the bike was imported to the UK, I don't spend much time here and what I am told is that these inspection places require a long lead time for geting a slot to take the bike down. May now have to wait for December home trip.
