Just took the coilpacks off so that I could spray them with ACF50. R/H one looks OK, L/H one, I just got it out in time, bike was running OK, but any longer and it would have jammed in the rocker cover, as it was quite swollen with rust.
I love the bike, but, in the 72,000 miles I've covered I must have bought at least 4 of them:eek:

Not cheap either. Shame no -one on here has found a cheap alternative.:(

You're better off finding that problem before it bursts into flames like mine did. :blast I had to remove the rocker cover to knock it out and trim the off the burnt connector.

I suppose all the wet weather is responsible for most of these problems, and the laning, but it has taught me to look after my bike more often. :augie

Same for me :blast

This is what was left and had to take the rocker cover off to remove the rest ...............it also melted the connector so had to get the nice people at James Sherlock to clip one off of an old loom they had kicking about and solder it onto the wiring

Sure I’ve read where peps have replaced the coil sticks with coils under the tank and run HT lead down to extended plug caps, you’ll have to do a little Google research to find out more
