Ordered 2 coils from Sherlock's stating bike and age 2010 gsa, was sent part 12137715853 which according to my dealer AND Real oem is for pre twin can
I need 12137715847 apparently!!!
They were adamant it should fit so i tried.. No chance, the extra rubber bit creates air pressure great enough for it to not go in

Anyone else had one of these in a twin cam?

I'm building a case here for a full refund including postage

Should still work. I have them on a tc. Put a bit of grease on the rubber.

Mine are like this and fit fine. Is the the rubber or the plug top contact that's causing trouble

Sent somehow.

If you didn;t offer a chassis/Frame number then you are screwed

I have used this on 2004 - 2010 Hex heads but have not had a twin cam in for work

Again if you did not offer a frame number .....?

OH and probably better to:- get some rubber grease or silicone grease and try to fit them again with some lubrication

Distance selling, if you want your money back they have to give it to you.

Have you actually asked them for a refund? I always though they were good to deal with and never thought they would refuse to refund.

+1 What he said.

Tried silicone lubricant.. To be fair even popped the gasket off just to try... Off to dealer to get some tomorrow. Running out of " cancel my holiday time"

Unscrew the spark plug and see how far in those coils will go. Mine look the same but fitted fine right outside North Oxford BMW.

Sent somehow.

Did you change the plugs at the same time? Is a cap screwed on that maybe should be the thread only

Plugs changed by Steptoe 300 miles back.. Old coils for those.. In off to the dealer to get some now, no more expensive than Sherlock's but at the time having them posted out seemed more efficient

unibar, you are correct mate ,the earlier single cam main coils (upper) will not go down the holes of a twin cam,i had this last year with mine from motorworks ,they said the earlier coils would fit ,no way on earth would they down the holes .they did however send me a coil from a twin cam second time round and that went straight in .:thumb

Fizzer.. Thanks for the sanity check its appreciated.. I gave the thing as firm a push as i dared!

Sherlock's called agreed the parts were wrong all refunded
The issue turned out to be the tps!

I thought the TPS had already been tested.
Saying that a TPS relearn appeared to solve my running problems but not for long.
