At least the sleeve on the new stick coils are stainless steel, hopefully they'll now last longer before giving up. ?
No doesn't make any difference, changed mine just before Xmas,it had only done 18000 miles and still looked as new on the outside

Bugger, in that case I'll coat it in silicone grease like I did the others recently. I was surprised that the engine heat didn't melt it, but, the coating was intact.

Pull the tank off and disconnect the existing cable, connect this one to the coil and run it to the plug that the stick coil should normally go on.

will that work? with no stick coil?
the bad running is a result of no stick coil... not sure i get what you mean thanks for posting though!

Ive ordered a stick coil from Motorworks, will have it in the morning... the correct bloody part this time :)

I'm sure he was but it was already en route when somebody correctly guessed what he'd receive.

I'm fairly sure that if the description on the website was incorrect he'll get a full refund and they'll send him a post paid jiffy bag to return the goods.

WTF you on about.
I was told AFTER i'd ordered it, you dick :)

All the way through this post you have had some sort of an attitude problem probably because your bike is broken and you are deeply upset about it and didnt want to have to pay up to fix it (which i can understand)
You get what you pay for in this life So go and fist yourself.:beerjug:

For me, the clue was in the price. Brand new stick coil for £42, when we all know the price varies between £70 - £90. If the price was right, then the OP had found the holy grail of stick coil stocks. So I had to investigate.

The rest you know.:nenau

What do you think the smiley face is for :)

apologies if you think I am a cock. I have no problem with my bike being broken (first time its properly broke something in 7 years, I am a very happy camper)
Besides, I have three other bikes I can ride so I havent got time to go fist myself thanks.

Love you :)

TRUE holy grail indeed.
Thats why I queried the price with the supplier, who responded saying it might be a new product from BERU and it was deffo the right one for the bike
