Coiled Lead 300mm 12v 10A 2 core for heated jackets, accessories etc.

I am looking to replace my chilli heated jacket lead with a more flexible coiled lead option (the current cable is much to stiff in the cold and stresses where the cables join the plugs). I have been unable to source a 10 amp version (8 amp is usual max.)

I have approached a manufacturer (UK) who is willing to make them up BUT a minimum run of 10 is required. The spec. will be
Overall length 300mm, 60mm tails each end (the uncoiled flat part of the lead). Therefore overall coiled section = 180mm. As stated they would be 12V twin core and able to handle 10A.

Price is looking at about £7-9 each as a rough guide. The ends have no plugs or sockets but are ready for you to attach plugs or sockets of your choice.

I was looking for some recently as well, to repair a home made heated vest......ended up using 3 core curly cable, common as muck and really cheap.

Now what a sensible idea!!

I take it that would be 13 amp rated probably?

Hmmm have to say received above 3 core 13 amp coiled lead and it is to heavy and 'industrial' for what I want. Think it would give you a limp if you wore it for to long!

So if 9 other people (or more) are interested I will go for the specially made one that is 2 core 10 amp. Please let me know and when I get enough interest I will proceed.
