Has anybody got battery powered boot insoles,or glove liners. I could do with both for on the bike and to use when on site at work. I have seen them for skiing and fishermen but wondered if they cope with the wind chill on a bike.
Check out a Tchibo shop if you have one near you (German coffee shop) that also sells small quantities of useful items.
Was in one at the weekend in Oxford. They a device that straps to your boots for warming your feet - no idea how it works or the cost, was too busy.
They also have thin Thermal Ski fleeces for £8.00 or less, work well for the money. Also have some good ski trousers & jackets at competitive prices as well as face masks that fit beneath you helmet.
Santa brought me a pair of the tchibo ski boot insoles. They are pretty well made, there is only a 50mm disk of heater pad under the ball of the foot/ toes. 4 heat settings. The pad takes the edge of cold toes, I think a full foot bed heater would be better.
Comes with sealed in rechargables and mains charger. I'm going to try a few layers of tinfoil under the insole to try and transfere / retain heat .
I've just fitted a pair of those (Xmas pressie from SWMBO). The idea was to keep the mud off my boots but if they also keep my toes warm then that's a bonus
