Just had the bike (1150GS, 2000) back from the dealers, after a rather expensive electrical fault - all electrics seemed fine, bike would turn over, but never start. Was traced to a broken wire in the main loom.
A new problem has now developed:
When the bike has stood for several hours, it takes an absolute age to start - at least 20-30 seconds on the starter. Once it has caught, it will start first time, every time - until it is left for a few more hours. Once started, the bike runs fine.
Have just linked out the killswitch, as I'd been advised that this was iffy (and I'm not paying £112+VAT for a new one!), and this has made no difference.
Anyone have any ideas before it goes back to the shop?
cheers
