Cold Starting R80GS

If you think that the bike might stand for a while ,? then run the carb dry by turning off the fuel taps , then you can fill them with fresh fuel from the tank when you do get to start it again,,,
I have seen many bikes batteries run flat trying to get the old carb fuel to ignite!!,

Thanks to every one who sent in ideas re the cold staring problems.
Stripped and clean the carbsas suggested -no dice!
I borrowed leads, coils, black box etc from Gary at BAMW and substituted each item in turn.
It looks like it's the black box!

My money is on:-

Thermal paste is a very high heat conductive paste that is used between two objects (usually a heatsink and a CPU/GPU) to get better heat conduction.

Well, its seems one of the choke discs was in the wrong way round... Done by me
