I was wondering about that . . . . what does it exactly mean nowadays.
I know in the past you had an off on your race rep, stripped off the bodywork, fitted different headlight(s) and called it a streetfighter.
But a factory model . . . .?

Mate had a 749 with lots of carbon and an open clutch cover like the above. Only downside was over winter the exposed clutch plates absorbed moisture in his garage. So first start up went well until he engaged gear then the expression’ kangaroo petrol’ was accurate. It hit the back wall of his lock up before he could stop it. Even on a dry day the dry clutch sounded like two skeletons copulating on top of a steel dust bin lid 
Many years ago, when I owned a rather lovely Ducati, I was a regular customer at Baines Racing in Silverstone. They had all manner of exotic Italian race stuff in there, including a Darmah that had transparent engine casings.
When it started up I spent ages just sitting there watching and marvelling at all the wondeous stuff that was going on in the top end. Some stuff was spinning, other stuff was moving up and down, and oil was generally being flung around everywhere.
It was incredibly captivating and a fascinating insight into the engineering that goes on between our legs that we don’t normally see!

Exactly, the term street fighter? Why would anyone want to fight a street. Growing up the term was used by those that had crashed a proper bike, GSX, Blade, etc then tried to make a useable bike out of the wreckage.
Yeah, I bet no one's ever raced a cafe either...
Well I don’t know anyone who has tried to race a cafe. Strange term. There are some very strange people out there.
