Hello All.
Can anybody help me with the E-mail for BMW Motorcycle
production plant , sales dep , or sililar.
I have been paying 1200 £ for a set of BMW panniers, waited 3 monts so far, and going on 3 weeks vacation, with nothing to put my gear in.
What if we unite, and all of us sending complaints to BMW, mabye someone would take action.
I have NEVER in my life experienced such an arrogant and bad way to treat customers, by a brand.
Are BMW so sure on their succes, that they think we are hypnotized by the BMW logo, and not able to see in other
directions, for example KTM.
Keep up the good work Bayerische Motorradwerke, soon your customer service is the same, as a Chinese backyard company.

R 1200 GS Adventure 2006, and never again !!!

I really don't see how anyone can call the Germans arrogant.

If I was a Kraut I'd sue.

Ben

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting 3 months for a top box for my 1200GSA. I've found BMW Customer Service in the UK to be courteous and helpful. A lady called Afreda actually 'phoned me back (twice) and this is becoming unheard of when dealing with companies today. But they haven't got any top boxes in the UK so can't do anything for me yet. No sign of any arrogance though. It's obvious that their supplier has problems and we'll unfortunately have to wait.

1200GSA anytime and definately again

The above is the reason I sold my 2 month old ADV, this site does not help my deleting the british parts man (Conrad Parker) contact details from one of the threads.

Would I buy a BMW again, never, new bikes are being delivered with boxes now and people are still waiting!!!! I have voted with my feet somthing you will never see on a BMW ever again.

You sold the bike because the missing boxes? And what is your ride now .

Big Deal

Why make a big deal outa this.
Just buy some other manufacturers Panniers/Top Box
There are loads of options out there.

I would be pissed off too after waiting for three months. :spitfire But I still would be happy to have the bike. :bounce1

It took me a couple of months to get all my stuff after I bought my 1200 last year. I knew this up front, so it was my choice to wait.

Did they tell you how long the wait would be?

reply

NO, the dealer dident tell me anything about arrival date
on the panniers, he´s tryeing real hard, but cant get any info from them, " they are backordered"
He even tryed to tell, them that a customer was going to
cansell the whole deal, the reply from BMW was :
just bring the bike !!
I would go for another brand in panniersw if I could, but I have paid for them up front.

They should refund you the money for the panniers. Have you asked for the money?

I can't imagine not having at least the side-boxes on bike. :(

As sure as hell, I would not ride around with a bloody backpack on to carry my stuff. :ymca

I hope you can get it sorted out before you go away.

I know it's crappy, but on the bright side. You have a 1200 GSA. :thumb

Metal Mule

Its your own fault.if you had bought proper panniers from Metal Mule you would be long sorted :D
I worked for the Germans for 10 years, of course they are not arrogant :nono

There is of course another solution to the problem. If BMW have taken your money and not delivered the panniers, then they should as a good will guesture fit the standard 1200GS panniers (which do fit) to your bike until the ali ones turn up. Any one tried this approach yet :nenau
Not a problem for me as my GSA came with 3 ali boxes when I bought it :D

I suspect that BWM and all the service managers are probably as pissed off with the situation as you the punters.....it can't be nice knowing that you have to face angry people without knowing when or if the panniers are coming through.....they probably keep getting told that they're coming and they don't materialise.......we all know who they come from so we know what it's like.

The BWM people are stuffed though...they'd get shot if they slagged a supplier/partner and if they're not told what's going on or told the wrong thing about when the boxes are arriving, they can't do much.

It would seem that some haven't been very good on communication to you though :(
