Anybody out there got or perhaps tried a touratech comfort seat.

if so I would be interested to hear your thoughts, views and experiences.

I find my stock split seat ok but after 3 hours start to get uncomfortable and fidgety.....I have a 5 day trip coming up in the spring (the first on my 1190) and am pretty sure I'll be struggling after the first day.

I have tried air hawkes before but didn't really take to it so would prefer a better seat.

Thanks in advance.

With only four hundred miles on mine, I can't say I've done really long hours / days in the saddle. But I can already tell from the feel of the saddle that an 8 hour + day and yer arse is going to feel it!

Another option (which I might explore ... we'll see) is taking your seat to a specialist who'll take the cover off, gel inserts and then refit ....

Tony Archer can't be too far from you ..??

US firm Seat Concepts sell a kit to convert your existing seat. it was something i considered before buying the PP Ergo Seat, which is a big improvement over the S seat.

Ay lad thas reet.

Tony's done my last two seats (F800 & 1200GS) and certainly an improvement from the stock but always wondered about the Comfort seat option as a comparison to what I know Tony will do for me.

What did he charge you in the past Rob ... ?

I have the kTm heated comfort seat, huge improvement on stock.

I have KTM's comfort/heated seats and did 4k in 17 days and thought how sore I'd be on the standard seat. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of comfort afforded, but if Sargent brought out a seat, I'd like to try that as the one I had for my 12GS was superb.
