I am in the process of deciding on a new riding suit, not an easy task!.

My previous riding wardrobe has consisted of mostly leathers and one HG fabric jacket which I now wear pretty much all the time and is in dire need of replacement after 5 years.

I have had good wear from my HG but it did become a bit shabby very quickly and I would lprefer to spend more on something that will last.

I have read a lot of the pros and cons of the Rallye 2 and mostly pros of the Streetguard but not a lot on the ComfortShell.

I tried the StreetGuard at Motorrad central and was not sold on the fit,I liked the Tourance but was put off by the salesman who did not recommend it, basically said it was crap for the money!,did not know about the Comfortshell until I looked at the rider Equipment Catalogue when I got home.

As far as my riding goes,I no longer need to ride to work,I don't do any big trips in the winter,I have a Gerbings heated jacket liner and controller and loads of fleeces etc so a thermal liner is not that important, but of course it has to be waterproof.

I have considered HG,Rukka,Belstaff,Halverssons etc, but for various reasons not all of them rational,I have narrowed my list down to BMW!.

Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of this suit in particular as it seems to fit the bill.

Any comments gratefully received,thanks.

I'd go for a Rukka Allroad jacket and Kalahari trousers:thumb2 Rukka well fit, also for big people and their support is excelent:thumb2+1

Quality is equal or even better than BMW suits.

Good luck:bounce1

I have Rukka and aerostich (both about 5 yrs old) and also the new Comfortshell. The latter is far better :thumb

I have posted on here several times about how much I like my Comfortshell, I haven't got the time to retype it all again right now so you'll have to do a search for posts by me containing Comfortshell or Comfort Shell, suffice to say its all positive.:P

If you also do a general search on advrider you'll find some good feedback on there. :thumb2

Great piece of kit .I used them over leathers & and keep it in the car in the winter. I purchased my set for £100 about 5 years ago .

Are you sure you are talking about the same thing? :nenau

Comfort shell is that NEW (2008) suit that is mainly for summer use. The brochure talks about it opening up like a nature thing ...

Thanks for your replies,I think I have now read all the posts here and on ADV rider and it sound as if the Comfortshell is just what I'm looking for :thumb

I am still surprised the guy in Motorrad Central did not suggest it to me when I first went in:nenau

Thanks
Ian
