Probably going to get a load of stick off you lot for this, but along the lines of the for sale and wanted section thought I'd put up a pre sale thread in case anyone is considering buying one of the last of the current 12's next year.:hide

I've ordered one of the new watercooled bikes, which is coming in March, and chances are will trade my current bike in against it, but if anyone is thinking of buying a fully loaded, low mileage, still under warranty Triple Black early next year, I'd be happy to work out a deal now.:thumb

As this isn't actually for sale right now, I haven't worked out a price (but know what it's worth:blagblah). On the back of this, I'm aware that I can't invoke Timmy's Rules:blast so am prepared for the usual bollocks and banter.:comfort:D

It'll have to be cheap, considering all that offroad abuse it's had, look at that picture:eek:

:D That's about as offroad as its been:blast:beerjug:

I'd put a picture of it on tarmac then, don't want folk thinking it's had a hard offroad life with all that gravel & dirt in Pic 1:D

Personally I'd be keeping it until the new WC one has been out a while and all the niggles have been identified and resolved

However, I've never been an early adopter and ride old shonkers

What the price mister?

If you haven't worked out a price but know what it's worth why don't you just come straight out and tell us? :nenau

I know roughly what a standard one is worth right now (as anyone can work out by looking around:blagblah), with no extras, but as I'm only making folks on here aware that it will be available early next year, haven't worked out an actual price with all the extras.:rob

If someone on here is thinking of getting a TB with some decent accessories early next year (or now if the price is right:D), then it'll be worth getting in touch via PM.

Nearer the time, I will of course put a proper post up in the for sale section with pictures, mileage, all accessories and price.

Oh, and this is for you JB (it's the black one by the way:rolleyes:):D

That's really nice:thumb2

I used to have a passat estate, one of the best cars I've ever owned, reliable, quick enough, roomy, comfy, bla bla ;)

Nutty....It's your 'bike and it's your money, and so you can do what the feck you like.....but this really is very good advice.....;)

Yep, it's good advice from JB.:thumb

I know that there were several documented problems when the original 12gs came out, and there is always a high risk buying a brand new model, but I'm confident that BMW has done a proper job this time round.::blagblah

The new GS has been in development for over 5 years, test models have done something like a million miles (can't remember where I read that:blast), and there is much more at stake this time round with all the other similar bikes for similar money. I'm prepared to be be of the first, but don't really see it as a risk.:rob

If I'm wrong and its a lemon, I'll post my findings on here and be subject to a good old fashioned piss taking:thumb:D

You should keep it , just in case the stopcock is not working on your new bike !:D:clap:bow:bounce1
