The rear esa shock on my 2010 GSA has expired, 45k miles. So no surprises here.

I have access to a 2009 GS esa shock, from a 2009 bike. Does anyone know if it is compatible?

I only ride solo, no luggage, no off road so looking for mechanical/electrical fitting if anyone has any idea before I part with £200, it's from a low mileage, front end damaged machine and is still in working order.

The GS shock is about 30mm shorter than the GSA one

Different length as above. You would have to swap out the front shock as well.
Are the Hexhead and TC ESA systems the same?

What about the stands? GSA ones are longer will they be OK at a lower height?

I think you had me at the fitting a new front too. Looks like it comes off the road until I can get it refurbed at Firefox racing or a new one....

The shocks changed on 2012. ESA models are not compatible
I'm hoping my shocks last until I can afford Wilbers.
