Was having a play on the configurator for the new Wankpanzer-why does luggage such as panniers not feature ? Cant find it anywhere.
The only luggage items are top case carrier and preparation for panniers but no actual panniers ?

Coz they daren't tell you it's about 2 grand to get fit up with panniers and box :ROFLMAO:

I have seen the new vario panniers in the configurator somewhere??. They are about ,£850 from memory. They only appeared on certain configurations (maybe when starting with the base model??. Also from the main Motorrad screen there's an "accessories" option and the R1300 GS can be selected & then the panniers & top box are listed.
 
Panniers on the bmw configurator are £824.

Vario case, black, 25-32 l + 24-30 l
£ 824.00

Includes accessory parts: 2 x 7698204, 1 x 9443543, 1 x 9443544
The black Vario cases for both sides impress with electrical functions such as central locking and interior lighting. There is also a USB charging port in the left case. The steplessly adjustable volume is 24 to 30 litres on the right and 25 to 32 litres on the left.

10kg per case. Why I dont use them on the 1250. Got to laugh at weight savings then add 20kg ‘before’ filling the panniers!

Think that means you can put 10kg in each, not that they weigh 10 kg empty

Yeah, that's what payload usually means. Sheesh! :rolleyes:

Mind you, we don't know what the cases weight empty. The 'old' Vario boxes were approx 7.5kg a pice. I weighed them. But they weighed the same expanded or not... ;)

Odd would have thought they’d weigh more when they’re bigger…
