conflicting modifications

I've got an 07 GS with pipecraft headers and I'm trying ti fit H&B engine bars but the main mounting plate presses against the oxygen sensor which doesdn't seem like a good idea. I really like the bars and so initially I'm going to refit the stock downpipes. The question is does anyone make downpipes that fit with H&B? I've researched the threads here and there is much opinion but little fact that I can see.

Can anyone shed light on this?

I had the same problem and the fix was easy for me as I have a lathe so turned some new spacers to bring the bars out about 10mm to clear the sensors.

Without a lathe it would be easy enough to pack out the spacers with a few washers but the rear may have to changed for a longer one like I did with mine.

I had H&B bars on my 2006 GS, and remus downpipes fitted fine....

that doesnt sound right at all, its as if you are trying to bolt the main mount plate on the outboard of the sensor?

the plate should mount inboard of the sensor, it does go into that area and there is no need to disconnect anything at all.
