I've been under the impression that I have the low seat on my GSA, but after looking at a number of pictures over the last couple of days I'm now unsure as to what I actually have.

Can anyone advise???

This is what I have at the moment:

Thanks!!

Steve

Standard height seat but NOT OEM......the OEM one doesn't have the seam in it.

It's either a cover, or an aftermarket standard height seat, maybe with a gel insert?

Thanks guys, I'll stop looking for a new one.

I was looking at the seat more closely this evening, and when I turned it over I noticed that there seems to be thin black plastic between the seat cover and the plastic base so as you say it has been messed with at some point.

I've no idea what the full story is, and probably won't until I need to have it recovered.

That's a seat re-padding job. Look at the pillion end and there is approx. an extra 20mm padding... and this continues across the whole seat...

Looks just like mine. The black and yellow GSAs had a yellow and black seat (or mine did at least), which I thought looked horrible so recovered in black.

My black and yellow GSA had an all yellow seat.

Sent from my reasonably smart phone !

Thanks everyone.
I nearly bought a standard seat on the assumption mine was a low one, so thanks for stopping me waste more money that I have already!!

Like was mentioned before, yours is recovered and padded up... The standard bikes came with coloured or black standard seat options or a low seat only in black. The low seat had a fairly pronounced step down for the rider... Yours has ended up probably the best of all options as the standard seats were iffy for the pillion and the coloured ones a PIA to keep clean... As long as your a tall 'een that is...

All good, I'm 6ft2, so the seat being a little higher isn't an issue!!!!
