Hi: has anyone successfully connected the BMW Connected Ride Navigator to a MacBook Pro as I have tried and tried but unable to get the MacBook to connect the BMW CRN via USB cable (several tried). I have tried with 2 MacBooks an earlier Intel and my current M2 versions.

Basically I want to be able to download some music files into the Media Section on the CRN so I can use it without having to connect to my phone. On a long journey and when on Blood Bike days II want my phone to stay separate from the bike other than from any incoming calls to preserve phone battery life.

Ideally I want to CRN to be a "standalone system" when mounted on the bike and NOT reliant on my phone.

Thanks

David

Hi David. I can't answer your question specifically but there is a really good Facebook group that I used extensively when I first got mine. Just join and post. If you haven't got FB I'd be happy to post it for you?

You need CommanderOne Pro - on App Store

Also need an Anker USB multiple connector (Amazon) to connect to the Thunderbolt connector

I use this to connect a MacBook Pro to the BMW Ride navigator

It works - ‘cos I use it
