Ok, got the Connectedride navigator, connected my helmet ( Sena SRL ).

Nav is saying phone and helmet connected 👍

When I get a call, it shows up on nav unit which I can answer via the wonderwheel, but no sound or communication to helmet.

What am I missing guys ?

Thanks in advance.

Did you connect on the senna using the phone connection or the nav connection in this helmet menu. Mine only works when helmet is on sat nav connection

PS, both are connected to the nav separately and not also helmet to phone directly

Hi Big G, quite frankly I don’t know. The dealer connected my helmet to the unit.

It says on the nav unit, helmet and phone connected.

Does the bike need to be connected too ? The BMW app says to connect via setting menu on the bike but there doesn’t seem to be a pathway on the bikes settings.

Ahh so the no sound I had on a call the other evening wasn't a momentary glitch then.....hadn't got around to checking settings but pretty sure I have the SRL paired on both phone and nav ( because I had to look up how to get into nav pairing mode on the SRL ) Was getting voice prompts ok from the CRN for navigation so presume it is set up properly. Need to investigate further!

Have you connected your Nav to the bike ? On the BMW app I have interpreted it saying that the bike should/can be paired with Nav. ???🤔

Aparantly you leave the phone app open when you start the bike and have the nav CRN and your coms on then leave the phone to standby naturally and it then works. I have the same issue but have not tried the fix yet.

Just popped out and checked a couple of things. Nav is picked up by the bike (via canbus by my understanding) and you see the TFT/NAV toggle icons in the top bar after a few seconds suggesting there isn't any need to "pair" as such. A possible clue,however...I stuck my helmet on and powered it up before going out, it announced "phone connected" After I powered up the bike the CRN popped up its various dialog boxes confirming the SRL and phone as connected (and I double checked in connections) but when I tried phoning someone there was no sound in the helmet but the ringing tone was still on the phone itself. Am out of time this evening but my plan tomorrow is to delete all the connections and reset using only a pairing to the CRN, could a SRL to phone pairing be blocking the CRN from passing over the phone channel and vice versa given the former (unintended) pairing-on paper- should have opened a channel when I tried making that call? The joys of technology

Soooo....life got in the way, scarcely been near the bike let alone riding 😒Basically this evening I deleted all pairings- SRL,phone and CRN. Re-made by pairing the SRL to the CRN using the "GPS pairing " option only then paired the phone to the CRN. Made a test outbound call to voicemail and feed came through to helmet just fine followed by a call to a friend where he reported reasonable clarity on his end. Fairly clear on my side but a faint "fizzing" at times. Only caveat is that the calls were done statically with the bike powered up but engine off although interestingly the bike turned off after several minutes-I may have been out of range with the fob at this point- and the CRN popped up the lock screen message which I cancelled and the call was able to carried on until conclusion. ( so should allow you to park up and stop the bike if you happen to be on a call at that point ) Hope that works for anyone having the same lack of sound issue on calls, next step is to stick some music on the CRN and see how that works....

Great news.

Taking on board your directions, I went about it a slightly different way, in so much as, I disconnect my helmet to phone pairing.
Checked on the CRN and it showed phone and helmet connection. Test call from the wife which went along the lines of “ why are you doing that at 10 o’clock at night “, the tone wasn’t great ( meaning here voice, not the call clarity but it worked 👍.
I follow this up by a return call to her saying that I won’t be long ! I cannot print her reply on her but it questioned my love for her or the bike . I’ll leave it up to you to predict which gives more pleasure 🤫

The only slight negative was the fact that the incoming call, after me accepting/answering it on the wonder wheel, took a few second before I heard my lady’s beautiful voice muttering swear words down the line 🤔.

Overall a great positive, capped off by finding out that the bed in out spare room is comfortable too 😂

Thanks for all the help GS_PS. 🥂
