Connecting a phone to the 450’s instrument screen

So, no joy. The phone / app recognises the wi fi code on the screen and then fails to connect. I tried several times, reloaded the app, switched off the phone etc.

Looking at available WiFi on the phone, I can see the bike's WiFi and it's the same code as on the screen but I don't know the password to link the two.

Just as well I still have my wheezy old Garmin 550 which steered me all around Germany!

Your problem mirrors mine, with one of my two iPhones.

I don’t think there is a specific password for the bike’s WiFi, not least as I don’t recall entering a password when one of my two phones did make and maintain a successful connection.

Im sure your dealer must be able to sort this face to face. funny you mention phone battery signal on the screen as im only seeing wifi bars if you look at post #6 to the left of the time. But some YouTube screens are showing a phone battery bar instead. That suggests different software/firmware as I can't find an actual setting? Did you get as far as updating the software on the dash via the app, if not I think that is your best chance of sorting this.

I have only ever connected via the bike/app (not by going into wifi settings on my iPhone), but the Royal Enfield wifi password is 12345678. When you've connected via the enfield app , if you go subsequently into your iphone settings and then WIFI , click on the Royal Enfield wifi name, and then click on the ******** it reveals the above passcode. You're correct though it works that out itself via the app no passwords to be entered I have never put 12345678 in anywhere.

It's a fiddly menu system, when you switch the bike on if you press the joystick once right, and the once up, it takes you into the settings menu on the dash. There is a system reset option (might be down the bottom), and under information you can get the firmware version (mine is REICVIS1159). worth checking what yours is ?Home button takes you up/back a level, joystick press to select.

There has to be a simple answer!!
